Muuahh a New comic! For context.
Never saw Orson Welles movies. He knew his stuff tho. Plus his acting can't be that bad if he can get people to believe they're being invaded by aliens.
Looking forward to the Fantastic 4 movie for sure.
If they capture the real dysfunctional family dynamics that made it a foundation of Marvel, the fun goofy world Jack Kirby created, and in a good story, FANTASTIC! If not oh well, all the movies have their moments.
Thunderbolts is also looking great, though I'm partial to anything Red Guardian.
A short Marvel Rivals comic too, bub. Been my go to for a bit now.
It's a really fun and free to play game. Looks like Season 2 is coming some thick updates, yey.
Friend code: 1868561109, and come get sum Jeff. Though Rocket has been growing on me lately.
Anyway, saw a movie. |

Captain America |
Brave New World |
Nothing memorable. Felt like [INSERT HERO HERE] fights Red Hulk. Which if that is your big secret in the movie, why is it also the marketing?
This movie would have made more sense with an arc of, Anthony Mackie's Captain America moving on from his role as Falcon, to leader, carry weight behind him in that role narratively, by fighting against a character, literately named, THE LEADER. It's a natural foil. The Leader is more Red Hulk's villain than anything. So nothing ever goes anywhere.
Captain America's role in this ends up not being connected, and the action scenes while fun, aren't either. Not bad, but nothing I'd recomend watching. |
Follow up on Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Director/producer of the show Jeff Trammell did a break down of his work. Seems like he had to deal with a mish-mash of ideas in creating it, in order to see it made. Cause it's a Marvel property with history that's also a mish-mash.
That's a lot to work with, and might be a Marvel problem in general than this show specifically, like with Brave New World.
Seems the ones above all are working to fix it, unagling the many branches of franchises and IPs. I appreciate the effort put in regardless, Jeff Trammell seems like he really cares too, and I get that. If you enjoy watching it, that's really all that matters. :D
I'm usually hanging out with our Discord community these days. Feel free to join, play some games, hang out, and regular old lurking. We're good peeps, with great mods who keep it goin' and a new Steam Group run by one of our members!

Bit of a personal favor, so no obligation. My old Monastery is looking to get a car, and run on donations. It's a beauti ful place but, dang, out of the way.
Car would help just for practicality getting things like TP (donations also buy the TP), and it's all listed on the donation page, if you can donate, I'd appreciated it, if not no biggie. (...utters ancient curse...) I mean ah, erm um peace be with you.
Visit if you're in the area. It's also a turtle sanctuary, if you're into turtles too. No ninjas, tho they can move surprisingly fast, and outta no where. So they're fun.

Peace. |

So been watching the new show, and well... |
˖° Review ˖° " Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man |
The show feels like a strong idea at its core, like it wants to explore Spider-Man’s relationship with his community, but it seems to struggle to bring that idea to life in a way that feels connected while watching it, and wasted potential.
The art style is fun and pops, lively catchy opening intro too, though its brightness sometimes works against the tone, making even the heavier moments feel light. The difficulty watching it overall is the disconnect between its two main stories. While the show focuses on Lonnie and the people in Peter’s neighborhood, Spider-Man himself feels distant, following familiar superhero beats without engaging in the world around him.
It seems especially noticeable in Peter’s origin, which feels more like a plot device than his moment. Instead of something grounded in his world, the spider that bites him randomly falls from the multiverse, introducing another variation on the MCU’s alternate-reality gimmick. This time Doctor Strange has a new moustache, cheetah spots, oh and there's a lego OC Venom. Ooooo...
Spider-Man stories work best for me when they are personal, and when his transformation carries real emotional weight and responsibility. Here the randomness of his powers makes it harder to feel connected with the show, and it leaves Peter's role in the larger story feeling a little unclear. It's just a little sad, there’s so much potential for a show that truly blends Spider-Man’s heroism with his community’s struggles.
If the structure were changed making Spider-Man’s engagement direct with his neighborhood, and the individual lives of community members. Then the show could reinforce the idea that he isn’t just fighting villains, but learning from and growing alongside the people he protects. Those two elements feel separate, making it harder for me, as a viewer, to feel Peter’s journey means aything within the world the show is building.
One of the best parts of the show is Lonnie. He is a well-developed character, and if he had been given the mantle of Spider-Man, it would have provided a fresh, unique perspective. One where Spider-Man’s lessons don’t have to be about loss, but about understanding, belonging, and responsibility through shared experiences.
Peter, in this version, could have played the "guy in the chair" role, supporting Lonnie. Their friendship dynamic is one of the show’s strongest elements, and shifting Peter into a support guy could have given their relationship a practical role of teamwork. In school, as friends, and as team Spider-Man.
There might have been a strong foundation for something special, one that owns Spider-Man’s core values while telling a new kind of story about what it means to be part of a community. With a stronger focus it could have been a standout addition to the Spider-Man lore.
Because Spider-Man has always been a character who can be re-invented while still staying true to the heart, and this show had a chance to explore that in a meaningful way, and didn't. It's wasted potential overall. Again, the show has a lot of great ideas, but feels like it doesn't know how to commit to them fully, so it's hard to watch it as well.
Maybe in another reality, we got a better show. In this one, we this. Not good or bad, just meh.
Though, nothing is a mess like,
Spider-Man Lotus. |

New Comic! Continuation of this old one, and this one.
Crazy world right now, good thing there's games. Sweet comforting games.
So a quick mini-review.. |
˖° Mini Review ˖° Lethal Company |
A multiplayer co-op game, where you travel around space collecting toilet paper, and beers. Sell them to meet your quota.
It's fun exploring and encounter horrors. Everything wants to eat you, shoot you, or kidnap you. It's up to you to work with your team to communicate, and survive.
Sometimes it's works, others you connect to a room where someone is giving Christian sermons. Such is the online experience.
It's scary and addictive when it clicks, very worth a try. Cheap too.
